Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Commerce celebrate Diwali with religious fervour

Principal, faculty and students of Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Commerce celebrated Deepavali at the Centre on October 19, 2017. Deepavali  is the Hindu New Year celebration lasting from one to five days. This festival of light was inaugurated by Dr. Muralidhar Rao, Principal of the First Grade College, the Coordinator of the Post Graduate Centre, Prof. Ramesh Kulai, faculty Ms. Harsha Rani, Mr. Sajan and Ms. Jenifer D'Leema were present on this occasion.

Five of our students had been awarded Bhaktha Sri Kuthethur Govinda Dasa charitable Foundation Trust Scholarship on 30.08.2017 by the President of the Trust.

Mr. Karthik S Kateel conducted a session on self-defense to the girl students of PG Department and Undergraduate students  on 22 August 2017 at Audio Visual Hall. The programme was well appreciated by all the students of college.

Career Guidance Programme by Sarvajna IAS Academy

Mr Suresh M S, Director, Sarvajna IAS Academy conducted training on different career options on 11.08.2017 to the students of Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Commerce. He dealt in detail General Studies, Current events, Test Practices and Soft skills. Established in 1912,  Sarvajna IAS Academy is a coaching centre for competitive exams like IAS IPS IFS, IRS, IAAS, KAS, SSC, FDA, SDA, Police, and Railways etc.

Orientation by Prof. Ramesh Kulai, Coordinator of PG Centre at Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Commerce, Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal

Prof. Ramesh Kulai, Coordinator of M.Com Course conducted an orientation to newly joined M.Com Students. He appreciated the students for joining a best PG Centre of the area and appraised them of various benefits available at the PG Centre like Ample employment opportunity , Air Conditioned class rooms, High speed optical fibre based Internet facility in the department, availability of various scholarships, Guest Lecture by Professionals belonging to various fields, Coaching for IBPS. IAS and NET, a vast library with open access system and departmental library, Industrial visit at Industrial Centers, Ladies Hostel Facility, Industry-institute Interaction, AC conference hall and auditorium with LCD projector and advanced sound system, In house training in soft skill, personality development, interview technique, aptitude test, group discussion and public speaking, and above all best faculty having concern towards the all-round development of students.

PG Centre and Students bid Farewell to Final Year M.Com Students

The Department of Post Graduate Studies ad Research in Commerce and First Year Students organised a farewell ceremony for the final year students of Master of Commerce on 22-05-207. The adieu was full of excitement of entering into a new matured and professional world, but also mixed with a pain of departing from the alma mater. The even was graced by the presence of the Coordinator Prof. Ramesh Kulai whose paternalistic approach of concern and care was well appreciated by the students. Students appreciated all the faculty, specially Mr. Shailraj who use to encourage and support them in all the positive endeavours.
